SUNA Optoelectronics has relocated its headquarters office to a new site, and the comprehensive upgrade of the production workshop has significantly improved production capacity and delivery efficiency. Spurred by market demand for AI computing and cloud computing, SUNA Optoelectronics’microlens array chips maintain a leading position globally, while new offerings including silicon capacitors and silicon IPDs have gained recognition from industry benchmark customers.
ICC News, Recently, Suna, a leading manufacturer of silicon lens chips for optical communications, has reached a significant development milestone — the relocation of its headquarters office building in Suzhou and a comprehensive upgrade of its production facility. The new office area features a more modern environment, while the former office space at No. 9 Hualing Street has been converted into a dedicated production workshop. The plant area has expanded from 5,000㎡to 10,000㎡, significantly enhancing production capacity and delivery efficiency. Meanwhile, the company's Thailand production base is also scheduled to commence operations in the second quarter of 2025 to better meet the needs of global customers. These initiatives mark a new chapter for Suna as it advances toward a higher stage of development.

1. Market Demand Drives Transformation, Bringing New Opportunities for Industry Development
Behind this upgrade is the rapid development of the global optical communications industry, driven by technologies such as AI computing power, cloud computing, and 50G PON. The surging demand for 400G/800G optical modules, along with the upcoming volume production of 1.6T optical modules, has placed higher requirements on supply chain products including optical components and devices. Among these, microlens array chips — as key elements for optical path coupling in optical modules — have made fast delivery and consistent quality the core competitive factors in the industry. In the face of industry transformation, Suna Optoelectronics has achieved steady and robust development. Today, the company ranks as the world's No. 1 in the global optical communications microlens chip market, holding an absolute leading position and earning recognition as a manufacturing champion in its niche. Furthermore, Suna has successfully expanded into new product lines — silicon capacitors and silicon IPDs — which have already gained approval from benchmark customers in the industry, signaling significant future growth potential.

ICC analysis believes that a customer's total cost of ownership (TCO) depends not only on bill of materials (BOM) costs but also on product innovation, supply chain responsiveness, technical support, and long-term partnership trust. Through the four invisible values of fast (speed), support (service), Technology (leadership), and trust (reliability), Suna helps customers shorten R&D cycles and accelerate time-to-market, thereby reducing overall costs. At the same time, the company continuously optimizes production efficiency and yield to achieve sustainable BOM cost control, truly becoming a trusted long-term partner for its customers.
